Well 12 months have past I never found what I was looking for, ? I have been running with the one fitted when I purchased the FL 1 I will try to find one this year as I would like a spare cheers Arctic2

Hi Arctic2,
I have a hunch I need a doser too, as my FBH no longer even makes the nice smoke it used to. I suspect that the dosr pump is broken now, in addition to the FBH needing a de-coke.

According to the "Disco_3_FBH_Workshop_Manual_Thermo_Top_V.pdf" I have, page 35 has a warning about not interchanging DP40 and DP41 types or fuel leakage will occur. There is also some flow data for the pumps at various metering frequencies, although the flow data does not state at what pressure it should deliver these doses. Although maximum outlet fuel pressure is stated as 2.0 Bar. There is a 7Hz software test listed that should deliver 40ml in 180 seconds. I wonder how you collect the 40ml? Ideally you would want to push it past a 2.0 bar regulator... Maybe I'll wait another year...

I've seen plenty of eBay listings for the 89372. Often they are used ones from Hungry or Latvia, for about £20.
I think I may buy a complete spare set-up as I'd like something simple to warm the Garage up if I'm out there working.

I don't think a water heater would be the best option for heating your garage. Takes a lot of energy to heat water, then it needs a radiator to, err, radiate the heat. Fine to help the engine but for a space like a garage I think you would be better off with an air heater like an eberspacher D2 or a propex gas unit.

Of course if you're going that route a regular space heater is probably cheaper...

Hi NeedleNose,
Yes, of course a space heater is probably cheaper, but ... I have a dehumidifier running 24/7 to stop the machine tools I have going rusty, the bedways and tables go brown overnight if the air is damp, and I didn't want a heater that produced water, so I figured a Webasto with the exhaust outside, and the water plumbed to heater matrix and fan would do the trick. But actually I was probably just trying to justify having some car spares laying around!

I was going to test my dosing pump today, but I can;t find anything about where it lives in the manuals. The ticking noise seems to come from the passenger wheel well - anybody have any photos of it ?
I could find nothing on google.
PS. Just removed the passenger side rear wheel arch liner - no dosing pump there...
PPS. According to this thread https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/rough-idle-clicking-rear-offside-wheelarch.96588/ The pump is on the rear drivers side. How annoying.

Mine is under the driver's side wheel arch liner. Access is via a triangular panel underneath the front of the arch. I'm looking into why my FBH isn't firing so thought I'd check out the pumps location.
I'm planning on fitting a remote control to mine so I get into a warm car in the morning.

Drivers side rear arch liner removed:

Take off the pipes and ...oh dear it fell apart.

One step forward, two steps back. I found the pump, but it fell to bits as I tried to remove the hoses. The clamps to the hoses were corroded to dust, and the fuel supply line was not primed, so I guess the pump was dead anyways. The number on the pump is 89372A, I guess I will be ordering that today, and being a wimp/lazy I connected the two hoses together with a bit o pipe, and put the wheel back on, the liner and mud guard and the other stuff can stay in the garage until I get a new pumpy.

On the plus side, if it was ticking away your glowpin could be OK. The FBH checks the resistance of it before it starts the pump. Mine was no good and it never tried to pump fuel, just shut itself down.
