waxoyl into bulkhead?

i have recently changed screws on my door hinges for stainless ones. Noticed when I did it that I could if I wanted - squirt a load of waxoyl or similar inside the bulkhead while the hinges were off.

Has anyone done this? Is it worth doing?

My bulhead corners are pretty good at the moment, a bit of surface rust, and a small hole which I plan to deal with in the spring.

Advice appreciated.

my question was really about whether it would get anywhere that it ought not to? And cause problems with electrics etc, or leak into steering mechanism?

you just don't want to pour too much heat into it whilst welding in future, as it's flammable stuff

the trick is to fix the rot so you won't have to be welding it again
