I'm confused now !!!!

I had a split hose a couple months ago and fixed that, since then I have been keeping a semi regular check on water levels. Its been about two weeks since I last checked and when I did it needed 1.5l of water as the resevouir was empty. I suspected head gasket etc so took it to the local landrover specialist (county rovers in Taunton). they have done a pressure test leaving it under pressure over night etc. The problem is that its lost nothing so they are at a loss as to what if any the problem is.

They are going to check things again Monday but any thoughts from people on here ?

Lets hope so.

I have a warranty on the car which covers head gasket or even slipped liner up to the value of £5k but that was a for a year and runs out in May so am keen to sort any issues out if its going to be expensive.

get a hydrocarbons test done, its just a chemical that they bubble any gas through that is present in the coolant bottle. should show if gasket/liner gone. failing that, get yr garage to diagnose liners(a bung might smooth things over) and get it done anyway!!!
