Have recently started getting the water in fuel warning light come up on my dash. the only strange thing is I have a 04 plate disco 2 one of the later ones where there is no sensor on the bottom of the fuel filter as land rover got rid of them at the time. Any ideas on how to amend this or has anyone had this problem before on a later disco?

Yes, LR got rid of it when they realised it's useless as long as you service the vehicle with care... the fact that it comes on can be a wiring issue(intermittent short to ground) on the existing circuit or something within the instrument pack... if you have RAVE i'll tell you what wire to cut as to isolate it's circuit for good

My truck is due for a service to be honest but was just a tad worrying. will hopefully be servicing it this weekend and maybe with a bit of luck that might sort it if not I will be putting my electrician hat on to do sort out some wiring!

The connector is probably still there and just tucked up somewhere - it may be full of muck causing an occasional short.
