Hi,

I have been thinking of buying a 90 Wolf for some times. I would like to have one mainly because I like them. And then to use it as it comes.
I would like to buy it from one of the Ex MoD dealers and reconditioning over a year or so. I know well an independent LR Mechanic who is very expert on LR from the 80'-00' and is keen to work with me on it.
As for the final result of the project I think I would like to have a good vehicle with completely recondition body and well functioning mechanics. And I am aware that there will loads to spend.

Today I took it a step further and I went to visit PA Blanchard to look at their stock and at their work of refurbishment. They were extremely nice and friendly. I visited their garage and they had some very nice fully restored ex MoD LR.
At the moment they have a decent stock of 90 in both R and LHD. The price is £11.995,00+VAT for the RHD. Car will come fully tested, with MOT and tax registered. Which is expensive even if I am aware that this cars are quite expensive. For a full refurbished one you look at 17.995,00+VAT. If you only the body completely refurbished (seat, dash and so on excluded) you looking at £1.500,00+VAT.

I took a look at three example of LHD and I crawled underneath: they were very rusted. Unfortunately I realised only once I looked at te pics after I left.
Obviously I don't want to buy a Defender with rusty bulkhead and chassis.

Can you please advice me and give me some guidance on buying Wolf's?

Many thanks

Nic
