right a little debate for ya, a load of the guys we went out with all had cbs along with myslef then one day dont know how but we managed to move over to walkie talkies we all ended up changing onto the same channed and it working fantastically as the main benefit being they are hand held and u havent got a massive aerial to snap off when ur in the undergroath i bought some binatone walkie talkies from tesco that cost me £19 and they seem to be good for about a mile and a half over any terrain and it comes with a charger and everything what are peoples views on this?

Depends wot floats yer boat rilly. Only advantage I can see in using CBs is if you're always laning with diffrunt people, they're more likely to have a CB than a walkie talkie.

major advantage of CB's and disadvantage of hand helds is that the CB is permantly wired in to ya car - and the battery wont be flat (alrite - less likely to be) when yu want to use it.

i think cb's are best more reliable if set up properly

I've always understood it to be LEGAL to CB whilst driving. at least two coppers have seen me chatting away on it whist driving and all they did was chuckle at the 2m long whip on top of a small silver slitty.

Just read up properly. I think it's in the same boat, as you need your hand for both.
