My compressor is starting to groan a bit and I need to get the piston ring changed for one of those "improved vehicle component" ones (got it this morning in the post). Trouble is, I don´t have a Nanocom to decompress the system, we live in a flat, and my local specialist is busy until the week after. We´re traveling up to Scotland on Wednesday and would like to get it done before the trip, for obvious reasons.

Anyone knows of a garage or mechanic who could do this for me in York? All the usual garages are busy (BlackPaw, Quattro, etc)

Really appreciate all the suggestions.

Can't you just disconnect the air lines with the battery disconnected? I have thought the hardest part in removing mine might be the two bolts holding the compressor box on.

Trying to avoid disconnecting the battery, but even so, the system will still be under pressure, correct?

As you undo the unions slowly, won't the air just hiss out. I haven't done mine yet but this is what I was hoping.
Most probably, yes.

That may be a good way to go. As long as the battery is disconnected, the compressor shouldn´t try and re pressure the system. Just need to find my stereo code now... o_O

Let me know if you find a nanocom holder local willing to plug in for realistic fee,im between Pickering and Scarborough and need mine deleting off air springs
