Far away from you!!
Need a new viscous unit, prices vary a lot and i was wondering people experiences with Britpart/Bearmach/Allmakes etc or is it worth stumping up over double for an OEM item?

The reason i ask is my electric fan **** the bed so going back to viscous :/

thanks

Ed

I just been there due to the fan getting a bit wobbly due to the viscous couplings bearing on its way out.

And surprise surprise the although I had the part number as a guide the verity of prices, any way I went for the OEM one as I was replacing the genuine one fitted at the factory.

Yeah I am probably going to go OEM, about £60, the bearmach ones are about £25 :/

Going to try my local motor factors first, they are usually quite price comptetitive and normally a decent manufacturer etc

They all seem identical but OEM and genuine have production part numbers on around the inner edge and there is more than one all are finely engraved, patten parts don't, unless poorly hand engraved (scratched) with something.

The OEM part I purchased came in a brown box and had a Britpart label on it, but as we know that also supply pattern and genuine parts and yes just under £60 including p&p.

Should have ordered a filter at the same time and would have got free p&p .
