hello
gents, how can i determine which one needs replacement?when starting the engine from cold, when i open the exp tank cap and i look at the small hole i can c water driping from the rad bleed pipe,it is not a fine line, more like water dribbling drop after drop, when i rev, the water squirts from the hole,it means water pump is ok or it is weak?
and i can hear the vc fan engaging when engine is hot and howling, then returning to its previous calm state when the car moves, when i spin it by hand after engine is off from hot,i feel a resistance when i let go,it will not continue on turning, but if i wiggle the fan there is like 2mm play in it (not the water pump shaft coz it will not move) what will play is the fan clutch with the attached fan ofcourse.does that mean that it needs replacement?i don't want to test it with the newspaper i can c it turning fast when it is engaged.
i am experiencing a slight overheating at idle.
radiator was rodded and flushed, thermostat was changed, temp sender was changed, grounds cleaned tightened, hoses were checked.no coolant loss.
any help?it its a 95 4.6 hse
