I recently came across a vintage Land Rover leather case that holds two bottles (see image). I'm looking for someone that might be able to help me find out a little bit more about what these are. Does anyone know of an individual or group that might be able to help me with this? Rob

Here is another image of the case closed, showing the Land Rover badge on the front.

Have searched a lot now and found nothing exactly the same. But I note there are letters under the hasp of the lower half of the case. The handle and the stitching isn't very sophisticated and someone else will tell us the age of the logo on the badge, which doesn't look all that old to me. BUT the decanters are interesting, especially the corks with their metal "ring pulls". Not what you normally see on a tantalus but then not seen many travelling tantaluses, or is it tantali, before.
Are there any names or marks in the undersides of the decanters? Any assay marks on the tops?
I am still convinced that it would be worth a bit. Looks like something that would accompany a shooting party, so maybe part of the bespoke build of some of the Range Rovers built exactly for that back in the day. But you would expect it to be accompanied with other case containing glasses or at least silver shot tumblers. And maybe something for soup and sandwiches.
I'd buy it if I ever saw it in an auction!
Much like the original bags that went with the first Jasper Conran Discoveries.
Bit jealous, but not yet 100% convinced that a leather worker has not just worked it up and stuck a Land Rover badge on it for a customer. The handle reminds me of the ones on my trunk when I went away to school!
