Vin Prob

I OWN A :
STOLEN - RECOVERED - LOST IDENTITY 1996 DEFENDER 90 300 TDI
RE-REGISTERED ON A Q PLATE . ALL THE VIN NUMBERS WERE REMOVED .
MY PROBLEM IS THIS , WHEN TRYING TO ORDER PARTS FOR MY BELOVED (LANDY NOT HUBBY) I STRUGGLE AS THEY ALWAYS ASK ME THE VIN NUMBER .
AT THE MOMENT I AM TRYING TO LOCATE A REPLACEMENT INDICATOR/HORN SWITCH ANY IDEAS HOW TO GET AROUND THE VIN PROBLEM ?
ALSO WHAT PRESSURE SHOULD I HAVE IN 235/70/16 ROAD TYRES @ THE MO IT IS 35lb ALL ROUND .

Firstly,you dont need your vin number to buy parts,just your model and year will do,i have bought countless parts for my 90td no problem and have never needed the vin number.

Both are excellent for spares,and if you buy one of the many magazines out there for landys im sure you will find plenty more sellers.

you could try contacting landrover and give them the engine number, or was that ground off aswell?

easiest way around it is to find someone you know with a 96 300tdi the same as yours and use their vin no to order spares. as for shopping,there are loads of places and usually there is somewhere close to you that doesn't advertise or have a website. where are you from
