Here we go again , fix one problem and find another:( at least I can't get bored. I have started to get a vibration at 40 to 45 mph. Smooth upto 40 then vibrates until I reach 50 then smooth again. Feels worse when accelerating. No vibration on the steering wheel, not long had new u/js and rubber donut, new rear diff and wheel bearings. any ideas?. 1999 P38 2.5

I have the same thing at present on my car, it's an auto but there is a drone at low speed, def a wheel bearing, or 2, or driveshaft 'support' bearing, not a propshaft, a driveshaft.
Props connect boxes and diffs, driveshafts connect wheels.

Just had 2 new front tyres and paid for extra precise wheel balancing ( probably another way to get extra money )
the vibration feels as though it is the transmission not the wheels, mine is an auto

Are the balance weights present and correct on the propshafts? I noticed one of mine has taken a knock. Not sure how much of an effect it would have.

We had a Freelander in when I worked at a certain garage a while back. Vibes were awful. Put it up in the two poster and run it up to 30mph and you could see all four tyres were wobbling. They were from Kw*# F!7 (sorry, was trying to bypass swear filter :D ).

Anyway, we fitted four new tyres and took the guy out in his car before he had to pay. The difference was night & day. No more vibration.

I had a slight vibration off George until I fitted four new tyres and that cured it.
