Hi all.looking for some advice.my Sport ( 2012)had an odd issue..when driving on the motorway..after approx 15 min the car shakes like it has a flat tyre...when slowed down and accelerated after..no more vibration..it doesn't happen all the time just now and again..any ideas? Coz it's driving me mad...thanks in advance.

Check UJs for play. If one of them lets go it will cause a lot of damage. There's a Hardy-Spicer thread on here somewhere with video links.

Instead of a dealer, try to find a local, independant specialist, or a good mobile auto-electrician. At 7 yrs old the dealer is not interested in your vehicle, only your money, and even then anything more than diagnostics they're not really wanting to do.

Personally I found them terrible and an expensive company , also not heard very good things from others
When I got a quote from them to do my belts they kept saying the body needs to come off for the rear belts to be done which was rubbish and refused to change the oil pump, so walked away
have u been on the RRS forum as there are often mechanics in there that many forum members use
Shame as my gap iid diagnostics wouldn't work on ur rangie , otherwise I would have plugged mine in FOC for u
No probs, just don’t like seeing anyone getting ripped off
Suppose they could at least read the codes and do a print out of what they are
We could then go from there if u like , as I’m very local and u then having the codes etc I might be able to have a look for u to see if we can pin it down , having someone else sit in the motor to try and find the noise
Always help other FOC as it’s about the LZ community and making friends along the way

If u do get them to do a diagnostics, plse ensure they look at what the steering wheel angle sensor degrees are with the steering wheel straight ahead and also live data for all 4 x wheel speed sensors,
In the mean time , when u get out the rangie after a run see if any of ur wheels are extremely hot compared to the others plse

Thanks Gary,,the trouble is,it doesn’t happen all the time,,maybe 3 times on the last 8 months,,but it niggles me,and I don’t fancy it leading to something more complicated,,maybe it’s me being a bit anal,,,but that’s me,,lol
