Hi - I went out yesterday afternoon green laning for about 4 hours. While i was out i noticed that the gear box was getting very hot. It was so hot that i could feel the heat radiating off it into the cab. Stopped to let it cool down but it was very hot. Checked the oil level when i got home and it was fine. I have done a search and seen people talking about oil coolers on gearboxes?? Could this be my problem and if so where is it? It is a 1987 110 with the 19J engine.

Thanks

The oil was very clear and fresh. I only changed it 3 months ago. does anybody know if there is an oil cooler on it and if so where is it? It was almost too hot to touch so i dont think it is normal. Or is it...

Yep that's normal when you're making it work hard. Also in normal road drivng use, it's cooled by the air rushing underneath the vehicle.
