Just bought a beautiful little 3 series, 88". however, previous owner had her on a limited use tax band (horticultural, agricultural and forestry, i.e free tax disc). however, I would like to tax her for normal road use. can't be done online and DVLA are slow to answer the query. does anybody have any idea as to how I should go about getting a normal tax disc?

if it's like Disabled tax then a trip to local DVLA office and stand in a line to see someone

yeah, just like disabled tax.

i was hoping to be able to do it online or at the post-office, but it looks like a trek to town next day off.

Hi,
Yep, Change of Tax Class, can only be done at DVLA or a VRO. That includes to Historic, and to/from Disabled.

If you have paid unnecessary tax, you can claim it back.
