afternoon all i no this is somthing that has been covered over and over i've been reading the threds as i've said ive just getting a freelander and it has 3 years waranty it has done 108k when i reverse it seems tight as a thred by The Mad Hat Man said i should replace the the VCU as soon as possible but insted of me spending money do you think i should just drive it till it gose and clam on waranty? do you think it will be covered or should i just spend the money and replace it.

Have you tried the one wheel up test shown in the vid to get a visual confirmation that it is failing?

You're better reading the terms of your warranty and speaking to them direct than asking on a forum, any answers on this are going to be pretty broad guesses as you have all the paperwork I'm afraid. These warranties can range from being very comprehensive to utterly useless, but it depends on what you were given and what they say.

As for changing it, if it is on the way out then don't put off getting it changed. It's a link in the drivetrain and persiting with a duff one can impact on other bits, meaning you'll end up with a much bigger bill to get it sorted.
 
hi and thank you i have not tryed anything yet i was just reading on here once i noticed the the diffrence when reverseing but i will when i get a chance ill ring the waranty up as well and see what they say thanks for the help.
