V8 Petrol Head Gasket

Hi There,

Wondering if anyone could answer this question, the head gasket blow on one side of my 1995 Discovery V8 petrol engine, I know this because water was pouring at the back between the head and engine. Ive removed the head and had it skimmed and replace the gasket and put in new head bolts. Do I have to replace the other side head gasket or leave it and replace it if or when it goes?

do both and be done with it

Thanks. But is it necessary to do both or if I don't will it mess the other head or gasket up?

why would you only do one? the head is the easy bit of the process.. the hard bit is getting all the gubbins above it off and back on again.. most people do both just to save having to go through all that again shortly.. let's face it if the engine's been through enough to damage one gasket the chances are the other wont be far behind it.
