V8 Air Box......Want one?

ARSE! Well, i've just made a prize tit of myself AGAIN! I always seem to buy Landies missing their air boxes & me Deepender is no exception.

There's a K&N jubileed onto the end of the intake pipe & if I want to fit a snork (sans lighthouse) I needed an airbox.

Got one off of the Fleabay, looked about right in the photo advertised for Defender 90, 110, 127, 130 & V8, thought it would probably do & finding a specific one for me 200 Tdi..........well, are they like rocking horse sh....poo or what? (If anyone's got one knocking about, get in touch PLEEEEEZE!)

Well, after a long wait (the geezer smacked himself up in an RTA so I had to wait for his arm to mend a bit so's he could wrap it!) it turned up.

IT'S THE SIZE OF A DUSTBIN! I thought V8's took up a bit of under hood space? where do they find room to fit this? It looks like a WWII UXB!

Suffice to say, I've a large piece of junk I'll never use, anyone want it for the price of the postage? Can't be arsed to flog it back on eaby!

The time it took to deliver weren't the issue, felt more of a tit for having waited a while mind. Yeah, do believe the RTA bit, seemed an honest sort & he did have to get someone to help in the end.

why not run the pipe where the k & n is attatched straight to the ahem snorkel

cant see why not, i aint 100% tho, you might have ter manufacture some pipe work tho, cos it comes off the top of the intake on a disco, not sure on a defender, if yer can wait till tomorrow i will look on madfrogs and let you know. is yours a 200 tdi

Yeah, 'tis. Tops if ya would Yella. The Disco, Rangie & Defender one's for the 200 Tdi all look the same & the entry/exit points 'appear' to be the same, but I'd be way miffed if I bought another pointless can.
