Morning chaps,

I have driven home for the day to my parents to go to a funeral, got back last night, parked my car over to one side to let my brother out when he left this morning.

I have come out this morning to move it, its turning over but no start. Did the whole journey last night no issues. I have my lead and a laptop but no fexking cd to read codes or do it (please tell me this wouldnt have solved it?)

obviously i would like it to start, i have an exam on tuesday and need to be back in the hospital this weekend but the main immediate issue is that its blocking in the cars and wont start, the funeral is at 2 and it would be quite handy to get there.

any tips, anyone people can recommend in south bucks to come over and sort it out quickly? anyone please!!!!

As I understand it: turning over but not starting? No message on dash?
Since it`s turning over it can`t be an alarm problem.(crosses fingers) Any smoke from exhaust when cranking? Is it turning over quickly, or just about getting there? Is it pre-heating as per normal? If manual any chance of getting a tow/bump start? Any fuel in the filter? (unscrew drain to let a few drops out to check). Beware cranking it over until battery dies as you may provoke other problems.

I am feeling it could be a door issue. but nothing coming up on dash, but some thing flashed up after the usualy airbag thing when i first tried to start it

cranking free as a bird.
no smoke from exhaust
pre heating is fine

keeping an eye on battery but not letting it drain down.

have managed to push it out the way now but ideally need it for tonight to get back to norwich for hospital.

thanks for your help, massively appreciated on a day like today

If fuel is there, then shouldn`t there be white unburnt fuel coming out of exhaust?? Check fuel filter, and if you`re confident/competent, crack off an injector pipe to check fuel reaching injectors. Only use correct spanner tho` to avoid damaging tightly done up injectors.

SORTED! BeCM and engine out of sync, never happened at home before so it seems it my kindness of parking in an odd position to help out others bit me on the gluts!

Goodyer 4x4 popped out to do it (for the sum of 70!!!) but sod it, can get to funeral and back to the hospital tomorrow so it was worth it.

Thank you very much gtland for your help, nice to have someone this time of day to help out.

I will be back on the forum more again next week and, lots of clinical exams at the moment so had my head in the books.

happy driving everyone, enjoy the weekend
