I am considering upgrading the headlights on my RRC partly because the current ones are pretty poor (on dip beam, at least) and partly because the original lenses look quite tired.
Ive seen quite a few crystal clear lense replacements advertised, some with these angel eye halo sidelight rings, some without. I reckon theyd probably look OK (not sure about the angel eye bit!), but are they any good or usually cheap Chinese rubbish that is going to break in 3 weeks time? They seem to be about £30-£40 a pair, which seems cheap to me! All claim to be E-marked and MOT safe. These are the type of things I mean: Angel Eye Headlights RHD Range Rover Classic headlamps on eBay (end time 19-Jan-11 10:42:14 GMT)
Incidentally, Ive already got uprated headlight bulbs already installed, but they havent done a great deal so I think the lenses are probably the biggest limiting factor.
So, best avoided or a worthwhile upgrade? The biggest thing is better dip beam lighting, but itd be nice to freshen up the front end of the old girl a bit too, without making it look tacky! Anyone fitted them to their RRC?
