Disco 2 Upgrading audio/satnav

Hi all, I've just bought a 2004 4.0 V8 SE auto. It's a really nice example but, being a Japanese import, the satnav/audio needs replacing with something that works. If I can I'd like to get a modern touchscreen satnav/audio system installed. Does anyone have experience of this? I've seen an iPad Mini installed successfully on another Disco. Thanks for any suggestions.

Many modern ICE systems which incorporate a sat-nav system come in the "double din" format.
One or two members have made a pretty good job of modifying the facia in the Disco 2 to accommodate a double din format system. Check out the work of @RyanDay1 at:-

There are a couple of other problems you'll probably come up against:

• Controlling the unit with the remote controls on the steering wheel
  
• Setting the audio levels from the head unit so that the power amplifier under the passenger's seat is driven properly and without distortion.
