Think i know the answer but just want other views,my disco is a problem to unlock with the remote after it has been left for a few days, after a short run everything is fine my thoughts are the battery is slowly dying and after a few days the voltage drops a bit hence the less than instant unlock, are they voltage sensative or have i got other issues.

D2s system 'go to sleep' to save battery drain so to wake it up u must unlock first with the key. The info is in the owners handbook.
Iffy batteries, car and fob, will effect locking/unlocking so will the receiver thats above the headlining if it's been affected by dampness.

I don't know where you are getting this one from Discool, but I've had 5 TD5's and none of them ever reacted like this at all and I've never seen it in the handbook???

Ho dear and i've only once taken a D2 for a test drive and I know whats in the handbook.

NOTE:
If the handset does not operate after the
vehicle has been parked for a long period,
unlock the driver's door with the key and then
try again. If the handset still fails to operate,
enter the EKA code using the procedure shown

later in this section.

Discool knows what he's talking about, or at least he has an ideea;) http://www.landroverclubvi.com/uplo...de_troubleshooting_and_upgrade_8601nasf_2.pdf disregard the NAS frequency , the rest is the same

That was also issued by LR for RR P38s after the owners reported an issue with their security system, so a few years ago and before D2s, a work colleague had the same problem on his P38 :)

There was a few recalls by LR for the D2s and that may have been one of them, as I wasn't interested I never took much notice.
