U-Pol Raptor waterproof, sound deadening

have any of you used this product on your LR? I'm still looking for a suitable "paint" for my Defender leaky roof and came across this in a magazine.

Has anyone go any experience with it?

I've got it in the back of my tub on the project, its thick and strong.

Ive been thinking of using the rapture bed liner on the tub floor instead of spraying it but wasnt sure how tough it would be to say, stuff being dragged in and out and if it softened under heat?

I also wondered would it make stuff harder to drag in and out - I.e it would be more grippy.

I have a rubber mat that I use most of the time but if it's something heavy I take it out then just slide whatever the object is in on the metal floor.

Check my thread ive sprayed loads with it.

Prep work is key and it is VERY tough, my steering guard hasnt a chip on it and that has taken some abuse.

Hit a brick wall with my sliders, no paint damage either!

I did spray the rear tub but only 2 coats and its a little thin in areas, only got a couple chips from a 20kg propane tank rolling around in there.

A chap across the pond used it to paint the headlining in his Disco.

I watched a utube video last night and the final Raptor finish looked like very rough black sand paper. Incredibly strong and I suspected a nightmare to clean and impossible to remove.

Hi Michael, you might let me know when you have used yours so that I can visit and see the final outcome

Mine was sprayed, has a stippled look but is not sharp like sandpaper.

Its easy to clean, just washed and mud &sand off mine. The standard texture is smooth, but grippy, unless you add sand to it then its extra grippy!

I'm thinking about borrowing a garage or shed and going the spray route. I have a fellow close by who has sprayed for me in the past and it might be a better outcome if I paid him a few bob to do the job. Otherwise, I need to hire a compressor, find the shed and, on top of that, I haven't any real spraining experience

But, if I get it done within the foreseeable future, I'll give you a shout and come up to Sligo so that you can judge for yourself

I had zero experience spraying, just followed their instructions and it came out well!

Its not difficult to spray, its like bankz says read the instructions and spray on like Shultz.
for what you are doing you can do outside on a warm dry day with little wind, then rig a polythene cover/tent up to keep dry until its cured
