Looking at getting new mud tyres for the disco

Looking at insa turbos as they are the cheaper option but still good quality I'm running 235x75r16 I want to get bigger tyres so what's the biggest I can go up to without having to change anything else or do body work was thinking 265x75r16 will that work

Thanks Jack.

Once you've had a read of some of the other threads, if you still have any questions, pop back and ask.
A lot depends on what you want to use the Disco for, road only, light laning, serious off-roading etc.
Some tyres can only be fitted after you've cut bits off the car, some will reduce the steering circle... :)

The OP has already stated the tyres he’s interested in, Mud and Insa Turbo so where they are used isn’t important to him, but the size does... plus whether any modification to the vehicles body work will be necessary or not.

I went a size or 3 bigger :p

IIRC the OP has a D2, anything larger than 255/70/16 will rub inside the front wheelarches at steering full lock, even these are touching a bit on mine... to not speak about how the powertrain stressed, i strongly recommend to not fit bigger tyres than that unless the vehicle will be tuned accordingly with bigger intercooler, bigger radiator and proper remap

Most importantly the OP lives in Essex. So he has to drive to a pay and play. Bures probably closest. Not many lanes left in Essex, all the ones I used are closed. So he'll have to drive to go off road. So I'd suggest something like a kumho kl71s or hankook kt03s. Something you can drive some decent distances on. Then I'd suggest the OP explains his plans then he'll get the advice he needs. And maybe if he searches too-but I wouldn't.
