Tyre Load Rating

Hi Guys

Going to get some new tyres (225/55/17). The ones that are on have a rating of 101 (extra load - 825kg) but the ones i'm being recomended are Pirelli Scorpion with a rating of 97 (730kg). Checked the numbers and the stated rear axle load is 1460kg so the Pirelli's are right on the line. Not sure what to do? It is regularly fully loaded when towing the caravan.

A little too close for comfort when you take into account the caravan towing in my opinion. I'm sure you know that if you have a blow out when towing things will get considerably out of shape.

Thats what I thought chaser. I'm only buying too so its not like they can go on the front either.
