Hi folks, Im pretty new to here :)

I have a standard 90 Defender. I have bought a few items to fit to it including Mach 5 wheels (7x16) and 265-75/16 insa turbo special tracks. The suspension is standard.

Will there be any clearance issues with these wheels?? If i need to adjust anything how do I do it ??

Cheers

Iain

They will fit straight on height wise. You may need to adjust your steering lock stops to stop em rubbing on the radius arms.;)

I have em fitted on my 110. Check out my profile to see piccies.

How much did you pay for the wheels and tyres?

TBH the wheels were not cheap, £119 each from devon4x4....still waiting on getting them. the tyres were about £70+vat from Paddocks (delivered with a safari snorkel today :))

I just love the look of the mach 5 wheels, plus i believe (from what I have read that they are strong, but the downside is you cant bash them back into shape as they are alloy?? - is this right :S)

Im totally new to this Landrover stuff, but have always wanted one! The folk who own them seem friendly no nonsense folk who love their vehicles :)

So how do I adjust the lock stops? is that internal to the steering rack? Forgive my ignorance, I have been working on cars too long ;)

Iain :)

mach 5's are steel. Zuu's are alloy but look like mach 5's

the steering locks are out near the brake discs/swivel housings on the outter end of the axles

Cheers Ratty, i have Zu Alloys then?! i didnt know you could get them as steel wheels! I learn something new every min on here!!

Are the lockstops easy to adjust ?

Cheers for your help :)

yep. They are literally just a couple of bolts that prevent the wheels being turned as far.

Do a search and you may find some piccies.

Do you have steels or alloys on your 90 at the mo? If you have steels you will need some alloy wheel nuts too.

Its a totally boggo standard 90 commercial (farmer spec) - Its only upgrade is a rear wash wipe! Its on the standard cream steels at the mo...

I ordered alloy wheel nuts from Devon4x4 - They cost a bloomin fortune too :( i think i payed to much for them but was they said i needed them :( Got 5 locking ones. they were approx £4.17+vat each!!!!
