daft question if i may please
reading through some info and see ref to a boost sensor , never heard of one
ref the default pressure reading of 14 lbs/ ft , so if i’m reading it right , does the ecm compare the readings between the map and boost sensor ,, where there fitted before and after the turbo , then adjusts the VGT vanes accordingly , in default , the 14lbs is the amount of air the turbo produces, ie turbo boost figure , default set to prevent turbo from over boosting and protect the engine
so if the Map is dirty it then restricts the amount the VGT vanes open because it thinks the pressure is actually lower than it is because the true amount of air can’t get into the map sensor due to being blocked
so surely the differential between the map and boost sensor will be out of the ecm parameters and go into default
once again apologises for the daft question , still learning
thks as always in advance and hope it sort of makes sense
plse be gentle with replies , lol
