I dunno 'bout the D3 but "add-on" boxes would seem to do nothing but increase the injector "on time" giving an apparent boost in performance but severely damaging the fuel economy figures.
The best way would be to have the ECU remapped to improve overall performance. I don't know if Mike from Dynachip does the D3, I don't see why not.

thks, i was pleased with the synergy on my td4 but know the discos are a different beast
mine does around 27mpg and to be honest wouldn't wish that to drop dramatically
is having a full service inc both diffs, transfer box , on weds so that will be a good place to start , lol
waiting for it to stop raining so i can do my egr bypass kit, this should be fun working on my first v6
the map sensor was blocked solid so god knows what the pipes are like , think it will help the smooth running of the engine

My TD5 came with a box fitted, total rubbish! I think most people find the same thing, they cost a lot, but used ones on eBay are peanuts!

agree i'm going to do an egr blank first , the map sensor was blocked solid
as i know if the engine isn't sound fitting any tuning device will make it worse
was pleased with the synergy box on my td4 but this engine is a totally different design
