tuning box advice

Hi iv been looking at tuning boxes on ebay for my 2004 freelander 1 sport automatic, no great power for over taking at 55/60 mph! Would a tuning box do much? Been looking at a italian tuning box, has any one used these? Any advice??

those tuning boxes that you unplug a plug and put the plug from the tuning box in and then plug another plug into the original plug are a sheer wast of time and money all they do is put more fuel through, and if you do not have silicone hoses it will perish them, i have been there and got the t shirt.
