Trouble starting

My 3.9 v8 discovery 1 is being a t@$t to start.Shes had a new battery and she sounds like she wants to start wjen you turn the key but she just won't fire up.Any suggestions to help before I spend a fortune on eliminating different scenarios.

Worth popping over to the discovery section for a better answer.
Sounds like you only kicking the starting motor on. Probably the failure at the ignition end.

Pull the fuel line on downhill side of the fuel filter and the have someone turn the key to get the pump to run. This will show you if you have good fuel flow. Or pull a plug after turning it over for a bit and see if it's wet

Are you getting a spark to the plugs?

Quick squirt of Easy Start.
As a generalisation:
If it fires & runs & then dies you have a fuelling issue.
If it doesn't you have a sparks issue.
