As the front bumpers protrude downwards quite a bit, I'm thinking of doing something about it for better approach angles and just to look better. Would I best be to either remove the lower part of it and trim the side sections with a hacksaw...

OR

To fit a RRC front bumper, which I have been told by mate fits.

Any thoughts? I would like a HD or winch bumper but have no winch to attach to it and no money to buy said bumpers.

Cheers.

I cut my standard bumper down ... though mine's a 300 Tdi ...

Lines are there, just used a new blade in the stanley knife .. ;)

The centre number plate section just unbolts from the front lower valance, but I also cut it out a tad more for the shackle and jacking eyes on the steering guard.

I took mine off, removed all the plastic, doctored the ends a bit then stuck it back on and bob's yer uncle. Alternatively you can just slice off as much plastic as you want until you're happy.

Ok I've been inspired, I've been thinking about this for ages - Hughsy/Paul the pics you've posted have clinched it - cutters comin out this weekend - MOT prep time:violin:

Just done it today, I unbolted the flappy bit off the bottom and trimmed the plastic end pieces so they're level with it. Looks nice, just the job that I was after. Sorted!
Now I need a steering guard :D etc etc etc...
