Hi ive got a 1993 classic range rover bobtail 200tdi manual gearbox, whilst out on a run today the transmission temp warning light came on, on the dash, all the fluids are fine. I have read that the transmission temp sensor is a common fault but for the life of me i cant locate it so if someone can point me in the right direction i would be very grateful indeed.

Cheers Bazza

had 4 yellow lights come on my disco 3 and the suspension lowered. It was saying transmission fault/safe mode so I turned off and turned back on, raised the suspension and its now ok.
Any suggestions folks???

I suggest you post in the disco section, this is the Range Rover section and introduce yourself.

You will see the sensor in one of the cooler pipes about 50 mm or so before the radiator.

'kin hell, another necroposter! They're infiltrating the place. And without so much as an introduction, just straight in and bringing zombies with them!
