Hi guys ..

I was driving home tonight , and this light came on , it only was on for a few min , and then just faded off then was ok ..

everything appears to be normal, cant really see as its dark .. and snowing hard ..

what's the normal cause for this , I did wonder if the plug where the sensor was in a position where it may get wet and cause it to come on .. ?

Its never come on before , and I did about 200 miles yesterday all was ok ..

any thoughts would be great , cheers guys. . .

... MMmm ok

Was driving at normal speeds , not towing anything , it was snowing hard , it was dark ... its a defender 110 1998 , 50 year edition , full history , 2 owners ..

I am sure I have read that some of the defender didnt have a sensor , and that the loom was tucked up out the way ...

Im pretty new to owning this , and havnt really worked on defenders in the past , was hoping / wondering if it was a normal quark , for this light to fade on , then off .. ?

ok ... I will check this tomorrow..

Im hoping everything is ok . , not had any issues ..

i did wonder if it had got wet , as it seemed to fade on , the fade off ... I had this on the diesel sediment light .. and on inspection , it wasn't even connected up .

yeah , that was my thinking .. and if it was over heating , it would have stayed on ..

im thinking it was water in the connector which was creating a circuit ... I guess I will have to see what happens tomorrow , tho im unlikely to be able to get under and have a look as the snow is getting deeper .. lol.. .
