Please excuse my lack of knowledge, but will a TD4 Auto run in 2wd if transfer box is knackered; if I remove the whole prop shaft and VCU?

Yes it will. However make sure you tell your insurance company as it's a notifiable modification.

How is the ird (transfer box) broke'd or what is it not doing?
