tranny box, what are these wire for?

Hi Chaps,

My gearbox reverse wires, and diff lock engaged switch wires are all in and sound, however there are two black wires with ring crimps on suspended in mid-air beside my transfer box.

They go into the loom which goes to the bulkhead loom connectors behind the transmission tunnel..

anyone got any ideas where they should be attached or what they could be for.

Being black im guessing they are ground wires..

All i could see was the the Batt cable and was gonna take the **** lol , but then spotted them . Well if everything works Id leave alone , but you coud slap a meter on there and see if there grounded ? .

I bet they need to be connected to the chassis as earths; best checking with a volt meter.

Found a section in an old workshop manual...they are grounds for the reverse light and duff switch and should be bolted to transfer box!
