Hi folks, need a bit of help..

I am going to have to trailer my poorly v8 88" series from warwick to harwich tomorrow. Can anyone give me some tips re securing it to the trailer ive managed to borrow, its a proper car transport trailer and ive got about 8 heavy duty ratchet straps...

cheers.

If the straps came with the trailer, then chances are they will have the short loop sections for fitting round the tyres. One on each corner, leave vehicle in gear, handbrake on..and bob's your uncle! Bigger question might be what you are pulling it with....trailer will be over 2 tons, landy another 2.1 - 2.4 tons. Tow vehicle needs to be beefy, and heavy, enough to keep the combo legal. :)

If towing eyes or jate rings fitted use these. two front diagonally mounted to opposite corners of trailer. same at rear this stops to & fro and sideways movement. if no eyes then round axles same again fix diagonally.
