Does anybody know why when connecting my sankey trailer up to my 90 the 90s rear lights dont work? the brake lights still work but the rear side lights dont. The fronts do though.

When disconnected all is fine again

any pointers? I did just fit a numberplate lights but after ripping that off again it does not seem to make a difference.

If the lighting wireing got fog light cut out that deactivates the car fog light when trailer plugged in could be wired wrong. acting on rear lights instead of the fog

er?

Its got fogs and they work, its wired in correctly as it all worked before so Im not sure what could have gone wrong.

are the fogs connected to the sides in anyway?

Fog lights will (should) only come on when lights are on. you can get socket testers, or with new mot regs on trailer sockets garages will have then. they plug in, you go through the various lights and it shows any probs

Just remembered, the rear brake/side bulbs are LED would this make a difference? I remember reading somewhere someone was having issues with LED lights (resistors etc) when connected up.

any thoughts.
