I'm going to pick up a Torque wrench somewhere from in range of 10lb/ft to 80lb/ft, a snapon one. I was wondering what size is most often used on the Defender 1/2 or 3/8?? Also a good Length of one?

Thinking of an adapter too for it (3/8 to 1/2) or step down (1/2 to 3/8) etc.

Thanks in advance

you don't need snap-on unless your just after stickers for your tool box.
just get an average priced one (search e bay for makes and models and then find reviews online to compare) i use 1/2" but thats because most of my sockets are 1/2" i use adapters for other sizes but it all comes down to your existing sockets.
as for length, if you get one that does 10-80 ft lbs, it will be long enough to use so you can get 80 ft lbs on the handle:D

Thanks very much guys,

I found a few on ebay for cheaper. Going with the 3/8, 5 to 75ft/lbs and I'll pick up an adapter to make it 1/2 sometime down the road.

i got a set of silverline combi spanners for at home, 7 quid! just as good quality as my full snap on stuff iv got for work!
