2001 RANGE ROVER 2.5 dHSE

This is up for £8000 and the guy says he won't take anything less. It has 91k on the clock and is spotless inside and out with full LR service history. Is it overpriced??? How much should I be offering?

Your thoughts please!!!

Yes The seller is greedy! Walk away. I am also looking and have noticed Range Rover prices have increased since the snow. I have set my budget at £6000 which should get a nice 01 DSE, but I am waiting a month or so now because sellers are being greedy at the moment.

Thats way too much. He's being greedy. Also can i advise that you should go for the 4.6 with lpg conversion. You get more miles for your money with lpg plus you can get Tax rebates etc to save money that way too. Also you get more pulling power and more power when you need it if you're off roading at all.

I didn't want to start that debate again, but seeing as someone else has - v8 every time.

Also I want to say thanks to you all for the help and advice including the guys in the Disco forum. big thanks to Rewmer for steering me towards the V8. Its not exactly fast so I can see now that the deisel would have done my head in.

say no more......

What about the increase of LPG prices and coolant issues? Just wondered as I am looking to buy!

LPG is going up, so is diesel. Don't get carried away with the scare stories about head gaskets and cracked blocks. Sure it has happened to some but it's not as common as is made out.

lpg is a lot cheaper than diesel to run.. always find out where your nearest flogas site is they are usually 8-10p a litre cheaper than BP....

as rewmer said dont be put of by scare tactics the diesels suffer from their own problems too inc overheating and hot starting probs..

the choice is yours... but with all RR take gavs advice and CHECK THE COOLANT

good luck
