TIthonus Defender Softtop Question

I have a Tithonus defender 110 project without any sort of top to it. Just the multi hoop roll cage.
If you want to fit a soft top to it do you need still the front aluminium hoop that would be found
On a civvy defender.

I know the civvy aluminium hoops have brackets on to attach the drain channels that go round the
Top and side of the door tops

THe main hoop of the roll cage that sits behind the seats has a bracket with two captive bolts welded to it
And I am wondering if these take the drain channels or do I need the old aluminium hoop as well.

I know the soft tops are different sizes just not sure about me hoops.

The Tithonus front rail and side rails are different to the normal ex military soft tops, the front rail has no form of clamp, instead it's mearly a groove into which the leading edge of the soft top slots into, the sides over the doors are also different, yet again the edge of the soft top sits in a channel held down by 2 pop studs either side as opposed to the normal ex military small toggle arrangement. I can get some photos if needed?
