I cannot imagine why you might want Titanium bolts on a vehicle that is so overbuilt and heavy already? It's like putting them on a train FFS!

Titanium is for aeroplanes and racing cars...

Very true, but i work on aeroplanes, so you only want the best for your defender or not. I would have got the bolts from work only we don't have 8mm x 85mm. Great pity. If you can get the best why put up with the rest ????
You only live once.

Erm.....Titanium in close proximity (touching) Aluminium is NOT a good idea.....OK for Steel though....Pretty bling but a tad pointless....Ti still oxidises unless coated....

Good point ABZ-MK2, at last someone who knows what they are talking about.
I was thinking of painting them with epoxy primer, tons of cromates in there so not much chance of oxidation, what do you think. Between me and you, the chance of getting these tit bolts of the self are virtually ZERO great pity. So i guess it will be down to sig stainless fasteners. But everybody very many thanks for your input and good luck to you all. :D
