Timing Chain/Belt RR 4.4 Vogue

Hi All,

What a fantastic site this is. i am a new Range Rover owner, 2002, 4.4 vogue, after the excitement of buying the vehicle, i have being busy studying the service record and there is no history of the timing belt being changed. Could someone tell me do they have a life, is there a recommended number of miles after which the belt should be changed.

Very grateful if someone could advise, thanks.

It's definitely a chain & not a belt & there's nothing in Land Rover's L322 service schedules that suggests it needs replacement at a particular mileage or age.
