Dayco kits are supposed to be good or Gates I think
As above, Dayco or Gates - we've two 300's - Mine has a Gates on, and SWMBO's has just had a Dayco on ...
My personal choice will always be Gates - used loads of them over the years, and our oldest tractor had a new Gates fan belt on in the 70's - it's still on, and still doing the job .... I'm pretty sure Dayco are as good ....
IMHO, just steer clear of the unbranded "stuff"

Dayco.
I remember when I replaced the original belt on my 2004 300TDi it was a Dayco and I replaced it like for like using OEM tensioner & idler.

Just get the paddocks timing belt kit for the 300tdi. Must be thousands running with this kit.
