Well I nearly managed to sort the timing belt tonight, all was going well until I realised that I don't have a dial wrench for the tensioner and the one I do have isn't accuate enough!

The replacement tensioner pulley doesn't have the plastic edges, is this correct or have I been sent the wrong one?

Thanks

ps I can't belieeve how much hard work it was to remove the crank pulley without a pulling tool!!

is it a 200 or a 300TDi?
I believe on the 300TDi, the "lipped" variant is the upgraded one, to stop the belt coming off and chewing itself to bits on the cover.

But I might be mistaken ;).

Thanks, the kit also came with a new crank sprocket but I wasn't brave enough to fit it, although I recall it looked the same geometry.
Fingers crossed for when I fire it up tomorrow!!
