Hi, my defender 90 has a ticking noise when the engine starts. Once it has been run for a bit I don't notice it but if I stop the engine then start it again, the ticking noise comes back. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
Could be any number of things. Tappets, exhaust, copperwashers under the injectors, the list is endless. You're going to have to open the bonnet and have a look I'm afraid.
 
Laughing at some of the suggestions ! Except the one from Beneagles. :blabla:

I guess I might have to take it to the garage coz I don't know anything about engines :confused:
