Hi searched this but can't find an answer

does anyone know the thread size on the 300tdi (discovery) radiator for the oil pipes?

i need to get a 90 deg adapter for my conversion but unsure of the correct thread

thanks

I'd have thought it would be a metric size, my 300 rad (Defender) has an o-ring on the pipe flange to seal it so I don't think it is a tapered (BSP) thread. Time for a measure up with a caliper and thread pitch gauge.

The thread for the oil cooler is m20 x 1.5 and they do have an o ring in the end ,i couldnt find hose adaptors to fit when i needed to join my pipes due to the cooler letting oil into the water

I solved this by taking the adaptors out of the cooler (will only work if you have a genuine landy copper rad) the are standard 3/8" bsp and much easier to get ends for

I work at an agricultural engineers and we had nothing that size in stock and i couldnt find one with any of our suppliers

I chopper up the pipes from the engine and joined them with rubber hose and very HD hose clips as its quite high pressure
