This ok ?

Well i had been looking a long time and managed to scrape more money together and today spent it.

I got a 1992 K reg 200 Tdi defender 90 for £6200. Completely reconditioned. Was all stripped down. New doors and some new panels. Resprayed. Chassis has been waxoyled and a new rear bar on. The place is giving it an MoT so it will have 12 months. Test drive was good. Accelerated up steep hills in fifth, started first turn. Steering precise.. no play. Full chequer plating kit on it also.

Earlier in the day i had test driven a 300 Tdi 90 which didnt impress me. Steering was looser and the engine seemed a lot flatter. The 300 was going for the same price.

Is this a good price for a refurbished 200 Tdi ? And how does it sound.

I think that you have got yourself a good buy. Just cheack over all of the places that are prone to rust anyway.

There is such a thing as a good land rover, and such a thing as a cheap land rover but it is rare if ever the case that the two are the same vehicle. It does benefit yourself if you pay up early as oposed to never using or seeing it for the repairs being done on it.
