alas, all was not as it seemed in the begining, this seatbox (completly rebuilt) was one of many bad bits i found on the car, the second was the rear chasis crossmember had a bit of rot in the far nearside corner which has been replaced, the third was the nearside front outrigger which has also been replaced. the more i took off i found a few extra issues to deal with. Fourth was the tub, Fifth, was both wings had bad corrosion where they were attached to the radiator, Sixth front radiator panel bottom was rotten, so the rot was cut out and a new bottom welded in, Oh i bought a new radiator to replaced the other one that fell apart in my hands, Both footwells were replaced, All the sills, Door bottoms, Rear door was replaced as i looked like it had been used for shotgun practice. In fact i have replaced/repaired all tha bits i can get my hands on. All the braking system, drums, swivel balls, every seal. Oh forgot i stripped and rebuilt the engine and Gearbox with the obligitory new clutch and housing the lot. there will be more to add at a later date but hopefully the pics will tell it all

Wow, very similar vehicle and project to me... Your thread brings back memories :D

Looks like you have done more thorough repair work and in a much shorter period, good going! I think I'm running into my fourth year soon.... I look forward to more updates.:)
