bung some decent tyres on it an ye'll get plenty o grip them stupid road tyre things int no good in the frozen stuff
Too right! Even modest A/T's will give a noticeable improvement in this snowy stuff.
For those who are a bit more faint of heart, you could always try using your LOW RANGE - kinda gives you traction you wouldn't believe even in icy conditions.
Ahh.......the world of snow chains and snow socks.
I wonder how long it will take the rest of the car driving British public to realise that with the right tyres and/or socks or chains (at a very moderate price) that they could all get home in the snow and ice........i have no sympathy for people who don't seem to have figured out that this country (the one where they live) has quite varied weather patterns and that we should not be blaming the council for bad road conditions but should actually take on some of the responsibility when the snow starts falling to be prepared..............there is no such thing as common sense as sense is not common to everyone so we can't rely on that !!
Until that very, very distant day i shall continue to charge the 4x4 hating public £2 to pull them out of the 1/2 inch deep depression they have themselves ensnared in......honestly, they should have their license taken away...bless em.....
Merry Christmas all.
oh yes I can really see my fookin car lookin in snow chains

Snow socks.....marvelous, don't have to take them off for tarmac, but you can't drive too fast in them, and i wasn't suggesting putting a set on any of solihulls finest, merely suggesting that the rest of the non four wheel drive fraternity could do us all a favour by thinking about it then.........we could all get home for dinner and the Brithish Isles would tick over nicely.
Still Merry Christmas...even to the young lady (17) who drove into the back of my classic after being on the road for five days, she did no damage to mine but i fear her corsa may be written off, so i sent her a bunch of flowers and a message that i wouldn't claim on her insurance....how nice is that.
