Theft prevention , clever co2 ?

I am unable to search on my portable telephone and cant use my big computer as one of the reel to reels has snapped.
I'm worried that my landy is going to get pinched so l'm thinking of using that smartwater stuff. Any advice appreciated

Which Smartwater stuff?

If you mean the applied on microdot stuff, then it will not stop your car being stolen. It may help the police get a prosecution for handling stolen property if they ever come across it again, If you are really lucky and it is intact you might get it back.

I have used it on mine , as they had a good deal of life membershiip for £15 , but it is only another deterrent on top of multiple layers of protection.

Yes, Sounds the same as what I have.

You apply small dabs onto areas, it dries and then the police can apparently read the code and find the details.
Not sure if Smartwater are still doing the same deal as I used.

My theory is the stickers themselves will help deter the guy who is looking to break it on the cheap, the local yoof wont give a damn he is still going to thrash it about a field, the determined professional thief will have the kit to check the vehicle and throw / remove the marked areas.

Thanks for info, l think l'll concentrate on disable type things. I have major components marked and engine/gearboxes are painted blue to match bodywork.
Few more things l can do to slow down theft process but if it goes it goes l spose : (

One thing.

Take pictures of all the things that make your vehicle individual in its entirety and for specific items............Then if the worse happens , it may be a case of indentifying the components, even if you do not want them back at least the cops can use them to try and help to prosecute the nasty theivin scum.....

What do you have in mind? Lock the doors and seal the windows then flood the cabin with carbon dioxide (CO2). Yep, that'll work!

That would imply it would need to be water tight as well.

I guessed he meant H2O ...... It's all a bit formulaic for me...... A

So close the doors and seal tje windows, fill it with h2o and add a shark. Thatll do it
